ADESINA ADEGBITE ELECTED WABA SECRETARY GENERAL


Mr Adesina Adegbite, General Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), has been elected as the Secretary General of the West African Bar Association (WABA)

The election recently took place in a meeting of the West African Bar Forum leaders in Cotonou. He is to serve alongside the new President of the WABA, Mr. Osman Traore, who is also the President of the Malian Bar Association.

Established in 1987, the WABA is a vital platform for legal professionals from diverse West African countries to foster unity, collaboration, and cooperation within the legal sector. WABA’s core mission includes advocating for the rule of law, safeguarding human rights, enhancing legal education, and cultivating a robust and independent legal profession throughout West Africa
