Write a formal letter addressed to the GENERAL SECRETARY of the Nigerian Bar Association stating your request and whom the letter be addressed to.

  2. Evidence of payment of practicing fee for the past five (5) years including the current year.
  3. Evidence of payment N10, 000 (Ten Thousand Naira) administrative fee, payable into the account below;

Step 1:

Begin by visiting portal.nigerianbar.org.ng. This will direct you to the sign-up/login page. If you already have an existing account, please click on the login tab and proceed with your login. If not, let’s move on to Step 2.

Step 2:

In this step, you’ll need to enter your enrollment number. After doing so, select your name from the drop-down list by simply clicking on it. This action will turn the arrow on the right into a checkmark, confirming your selection. Once that’s done, click on the “Next” button at the bottom to proceed to Step 3.

Step 3:

On the next slide, please double-check your information to ensure that you’ve selected the correct enrollment number. If everything looks correct, click the checkbox to acknowledge that the provided information is indeed yours. To continue, click the “Next” button. If you need to make corrections, use the “Back” button to return to the previous slide.

Step 4:

Now, it’s time to update your bio. Please fill out the form with the appropriate and accurate information. Be sure that you have access to the email address you’ve provided, as a one-time password (OTP) will be sent to this address for account verification. Once you’re satisfied with the data you’ve inputted, proceed to the next slide by clicking on the “Next” button below.

Step 5:

In this step, you’ll need to verify your email by inserting the OTP that was sent to your email address into the provided field. If you accidentally entered the wrong email, no worries—just click here to correct it. If everything is in order, click the “Next” button to move to the final step.

Final Step:

Now, let’s create a password. Fill in the provided fields with your chosen password, ensuring it meets the required criteria. To finalize, confirm your password by typing it again in the provided field and then click “Submit” to complete the registration process. Congratulations! You’ve successfully created your account on the portal, and you can now proceed to log in.

Once you’ve logged in, you’ll be welcomed by a user-friendly dashboard displaying an overview of your account. The portal offers various features such as making payments, viewing or printing receipts for previous transactions, and updating your profile. If you wish for your profile to be visible in public search results, be sure to enable this option under your profile page.
