Nigerian Bar Association Leadership Meets with the President at Aso Rock
In a significant development in the buildup to the NBA-AGC, 2023, the Leadership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) paid a visit to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at Aso Rock on 24th of August.
During the visit, the NBA President expressed his gratitude to the Nigerian President for graciously accepting the invitation to attend the forthcoming NBA Conference Opening Ceremony scheduled to hold on Monday 28th August, 2023 at the M.K.O Abiola Stadium, Abuja. This gesture was viewed as a testament to the President’s recognition of the legal community’s pivotal role in nation-building.
The NBA Leadership also extended the Bar’s appreciation to the Nigerian President for his decision to appoint Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN as the Attorney General of the Federation, a choice that has been widely commended. The NBA President stated that the Honourable Attorney General is known to be accessible and as someone who listens to counsel.
