The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has officially released the Gazetted copy of the Remuneration Order 2023. The document, which outlines standardized fees and charges for legal services, aims to promote transparency, fairness, and professionalism within the legal profession.
This was revealed by Emeka Obegolu, SAN, Chairman of the NBA Remuneration Committee, who shared the gazetted copy with members of the Bar and key stakeholders, urging them to update their records accordingly.
In a brief statement accompanying the release, Mr. Obegolu noted:

The Remuneration Order 2023 serves as a comprehensive guide, ensuring lawyers and law firms adhere to best practices in billing while protecting clients from arbitrary or exploitative legal fees.
