The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has announced that Oluseun Mobolaji Abimbola SAN, FCArb, Partner at Prime Solicitors, Ibadan, will be a featured speaker at the 2025 Annual General Conference, scheduled for Tuesday, 26th August 2025. He will lead discussions on the thought-provoking topic “Values vs. Money.”
Abimbola, who heads his firm’s Dispute Resolution Practice Group, is an accomplished negotiator, arbitrator, and mediator, accredited by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) UK since 2004, and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators. He serves on the Panel of Neutrals of both the Lagos and Oyo Multi-Door Courthouses.
A graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he earned his LLB in 1992 and LLM in 2001, Abimbola was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1993. His distinguished career spans commercial law, commercial litigation, telecommunications law, technology, intellectual property, and alternative dispute resolution.
Twice recognised by the Who’s Who Legal Registry of Global Lawyers as a global legal expert in telecommunications, media, and technology law, he has made significant contributions to the Bar, including serving as the pioneer Chairman of the NBA Law Firm Management Committee in 2008, Chairman of the NBA Ibadan Branch (2012–2014), and Chairman of the NBA Section on Legal Practice (2019–2021).
Currently the Chairman of the Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA), Abimbola has held leadership roles in the International Bar Association and on various regulatory bodies such as the Council of Legal Education, the Legal Practitioners’ Disciplinary Committee, and the Body of Benchers.
A four-time recipient of the NBA President’s Award of Merit, Abimbola also served as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Oyo State (2016–2019) before his elevation to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 2020.
