NBA Constitutional Committee Webinar & Public Hearing (1 CPD Point)

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has announced that one of the major highlights of the 2025 NBA Annual General Conference in Enugu will be the proposed amendments to the NBA Constitution.

The process has already commenced with the formal Notice of Proposal issued by the General Secretary, Mobolaji Ojibara, and the circulation of the draft amendments to all members.

As part of this process, the NBA Constitutional Amendment Committee, in partnership with the NBA Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE), is hosting a special webinar and public hearing designed to help members:

  • Deeply understand the structure, powers, and functions of the NBA under its Constitution;
  • Appreciate the constitutional duties assigned to lawyers as members of the Association;
  • Contribute meaningfully to the amendment process by sharing views, questions, and recommendations that will guide the Committee’s work before the Annual General Meeting.

August 26, 2025 Samuel A. Osamolu, Esq. to Feature as Panelist at NBA-AGC in Enugu

The NBA notes that understanding how the Association works is not just a matter of interest—it is part of the Rules of Professional Conduct. As members of the Bar, there is a professional duty to engage with and strengthen the governance of the Association. This webinar offers the perfect platform to do so.
