“Thirty Years After Beijing”: Aisha Yesufu to Speak on Women’s Rights at NBA AGC 2025

Enugu, Nigeria— The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has announced that Aisha Yesufu, renowned socio-political activist and co-founder of the #BringBackOurGirls movement, will feature as a panelist at the breakout session titled “Thirty Years After Beijing” during the NBA Annual General Conference 2025. The session is scheduled for Monday, 25th August 2025, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the International Conference Centre, Enugu.

The session will revisit the 1995 Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, a milestone in the global campaign for gender equality. Discussions will focus on the progress achieved in the last three decades, the enduring challenges women face, and the opportunities ahead for true empowerment across politics, law, business, and governance.

This panel, under the broader conference theme “Stand Out, Stand Tall”, is expected to be one of the most thought-provoking engagements at the NBA AGC 2025.
