About Justice Ojoma Rachael Haruna
Justice Ojoma Rachael Haruna is a respected member of the Nigerian judiciary. She was recently appointed as a Judge of the Kogi State High Court, where she was sworn in by Governor Ododo in July 2024. Her appointment was among a list of judicial officers recommended by the National Judicial Council (NJC) for appointment to various superior courts in Nigeria.
The Governor, at the swearing-in ceremony, emphasized the judiciary as the “last hope of the common man,” urging the new judges to administer justice with fairness, equity, and integrity. Justice Haruna’s presence on the panel is expected to provide valuable insights into the challenges and triumphs of women in judicial leadership.
