The 2025 Annual Conference of the NBA Lawyers With Disabilities Forum (LWDF) commenced in Asaba, Delta State, with a vibrant and refreshing Sip-and-Paint welcome cocktail that set an inspiring tone for the days ahead.
The opening event gathered an impressive array of dignitaries, signalling strong national support for inclusion, accessibility, and equal opportunities within the legal profession.

Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, graced the occasion alongside Ekemejero Owhovoriole, SAN, the Honourable Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice of Delta State, and Omamuzo Erebe, SAN, the Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary of the Delta State Ministry of Justice.
The gathering also featured key national officers of the Nigerian Bar Association, including Auta Nyada, Welfare Secretary, and Henry Barnabas Ehi, Assistant General Secretary.
Influential advocates and leaders were equally present, such as David Anyaele, Chairman of the Abia State Disability Commission; Amb. Ubaka Emeka Btram, Executive Director of PEDANET; as well as the Chairmen of the NBA Asaba and Ihiala Branches.
The beautifully curated cocktail not only marked the official start of the conference but also created an atmosphere of camaraderie, creativity, and shared purpose as participants joined in a relaxed artistic experience.

The strong turnout underscored the growing momentum behind the LWDF’s mission to promote empowerment, accessibility, and leadership for lawyers with disabilities.
