The Nigerian Bar Association, through its Human Rights Institute (NBA-HRI), is pleased to announce the activities scheduled to commemorate the 2025 International Human Rights Day, holding on the 10th of December 2025. This year’s celebration is anchored on the theme: “HUMAN RIGHTS: OUR EVERYDAY ESSENTIAL”
With a carefully selected sub-theme: “Security, a Necessity for the Growth of Our Nation, Nigeria.” This year’s events are designed to spotlight the centrality of human rs in daily life and the indispensable role of security in fostering national development, peace, and democratic stability.

COMMEMORATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS DAY.
The grand finale will be held at the NBA Auditorium, NBA House, Muhammadu Buhari Way, CBD, Abuja.
This event will feature insightful discussions, presentations, and reflections on the protection of human rights, with particular focus on the nexus between security and national development.
As the world marks Human Rights Day, the Nigerian Bar Association reaffirms its unwavering commitment to defending the rights and dignity of all persons.
We hereby invite all members of the Bar, partners, civil society organizations, and members of the public to join us in these activities aimed at deepening human rights awareness and promoting a safer, more just Nigeria.
