The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Warri Branch, is set to celebrate a landmark milestone as it marks 100 years of legal practice in Warri, beginning with the Hon. Asifo Egbe Centenary Lecture, an event dedicated to honouring the man whose pioneering contribution laid the foundation of the legal profession in the city.
Hon. Asifo Egbe made history in 1925 when he became the first lawyer to practise in Warri following his call to the English Bar and subsequent enrolment in Nigeria.
A century later, the Warri Bar proudly reflects on this enduring legacy that has grown into one of the country’s most respected and influential branches of the NBA.
As part of the two-day celebration, the Branch has lined up significant events aimed at honouring its past, celebrating its present, and inspiring the next generation of legal practitioners in Delta State and beyond.
Centenary Lecture Details:

The Centenary Lecture will be delivered by renowned human rights advocate, Femi Falana, SAN, while the keynote address will be given by Hon. Justice Bode Adegbehingbe, JCA.
The event will be chaired by the distinguished Hon. Justice F. F. Tabai, CON, JSC (Rtd.), adding further prestige to this historic occasion.
