The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), through its Human Rights Institute, has formally announced Hon. Justice Muhammad Dattijo, JSC (Rtd.) as the Chairman for the 2025 International Human Rights Day commemoration.
Justice Dattijo, a distinguished jurist and retired Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, will provide leadership and direction for this year’s observance themed “Human Rights: Our Everyday Essential.”
The sub-theme for the event, “Security, a Necessity for the Growth of Our Nation, Nigeria,” underscores the vital link between safety, justice, and national development.
Scheduled for 10th December 2025 at the NBA Auditorium, NBA House, Muhammadu Buhari Way, CBD Abuja, the event promises to bring together legal professionals, human rights advocates, and stakeholders for insightful engagements.
The NBA Human Rights Institute urges all members of the Bar to attend and support the Chairman as the Association continues its mission to promote and defend fundamental rights across the nation.
