The Nigerian Bar Association – Young Lawyers Forum (NBA-YLF) has officially announced the opening of registration for the NBA-YLF National Summit 2026, a landmark gathering commemorating 20 years of transformative impact, with the theme “NBA-YLF @20: Rising to Lead”.
Tracing its roots to 2006, when former NBA President Olisa Agbakoba, SAN, laid the foundation for a vibrant platform dedicated to nurturing young legal talent, the NBA-YLF has grown into a formidable force shaping legal excellence, leadership, and innovation across Nigeria and the diaspora.

The 2026 Summit is positioned as more than a routine conference. Described as a high-energy homecoming, it will bring together young lawyers from across Nigeria and beyond to reflect, recalibrate, and redefine the future of legal practice. Participants are expected to engage in robust conversations on law, leadership, technology, governance, and policy while forging career-defining connections.
According to the organisers, the Summit will convene a powerhouse of industry leaders, policymakers, innovators, investors, and change-makers, creating a unique space where ideas are exchanged, collaborations are born, and the skills required for the future of legal practice are sharpened.
From strategic networking to exposure to emerging areas of practice, the NBA-YLF National Summit 2026 is designed as a launchpad for the next generation of legal leaders, empowering young lawyers to move from spectators to architects of the next era of legal excellence.
As part of the experience, delegates will also explore Port Harcourt, the vibrant heart of the Niger Delta, blending professional development with cultural immersion.
Young lawyers are encouraged not to miss this historic gathering and to secure their participation early.
Registration is now open at nbaylf.org
