The Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association has issued Notice No. 5, publishing the list of aspirants who have submitted their respective Letters of Expression of Interest to contest in the 2026 Elections of the Nigerian Bar Association.
In the Notice, the Committee informed members of the Bar that the attached lists contain the names of aspirants who have indicated their interest in contesting the 2026 NBA Elections as National Officers and as Representatives of the NBA in the General Council of the Bar, having complied with ECNBA 2026 Notices Numbers 2 and 3 dated 11th and 12th February 2026 respectively.
The ECNBA clarified that it is yet to call for the nomination of candidates, noting that nomination is a separate exercise under the Nigerian Bar Association Constitution 2015 (as amended in 2025) and the Schedule thereto.
The Committee further urged aspirants and all members of the Association to strictly adhere to the provisions of the extant Constitution, the Schedule thereto, and ECNBA 2026 Notice No. 4 dated 13th February 2026 relating to campaigns.
The Notice is dated 2nd March 2026 and was signed by Aham Ejelam, SAN, Chairman (ECNBA 2026), and Ibrahim Aliyu Nassarawa, Esq., Secretary (ECNBA 2026), from the ECNBA Secretariat, NBA House, 24 Oro Ago Street, Garki, Abuja.
