The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Sokoto Branch, has announced a high-level plenary session as part of the Caliphate Bar Law Week 2026, focusing on the integration of technology and law to address Nigeria’s security challenges.
The session, themed “Re-Imaging Nigeria’s Security Architecture for Sustainable Peace: Artificial Intelligence, Law and Prospects for Better Security in Nigeria,” is scheduled to take place on April 13, 2026.
The event aims to bridge the gap between emerging technology and legal frameworks. Prof. M. L. Ahmadu, Vice Chancellor of Rayhaan University, Birnin-Kebbi, will serve as the Lead Speaker, providing insights into how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be leveraged to modernize Nigeria’s security apparatus.
The discussion will be moderated by Prof. J. B. Marshal, ensuring a robust exchange between the academic, legal, and security sectors.
