YLF NBA Child Advocacy Committee to Host Final Webinar on Strengthening Child Protection Laws in Nigeria

The Child Advocacy Committee of the Young Lawyers’ Forum (YLF), Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), has announced its final webinar as it concludes its tenure, with a renewed call for stronger legal and policy frameworks to safeguard children across Nigeria.

Against the backdrop of growing security challenges and increasing threats to children’s safety, the Committee says the conversation must move beyond rescue efforts to building robust systems that guarantee every child’s right to safety, dignity, and hope.

The webinar, themed “Beyond Rescue: Protecting Children in Times of Insecurity – Strengthening Child Protection Laws and Policies in Nigeria,” will provide a platform for legal practitioners, policymakers, child rights advocates, and stakeholders to examine practical reforms needed to strengthen child protection mechanisms in the country.

The virtual event is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 15 July 2026, at 2:00 p.m. (West Central Africa Time).

Participants are encouraged to register in advance via Zoom using the link below:
