The Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA) has apologised for the delay in the commencement of voting for the 2026 NBA National Elections, which was originally scheduled to begin at 12:00 a.m. WAT.
According to the Committee, voting commenced at 7:35 a.m. today, Saturday, 18 July 2026, and will remain open for 24 hours from the exact time of commencement.
As part of heightened security measures introduced to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process, the ECNBA announced that the voting portal has been migrated to a new secured domain. The Committee stated that the official and only valid voting portal is:
https://ecnba.org.ng/vote/ecnba-ovs-main/
The ECNBA warned members to use only the above address and to disregard any other link, platform, or communication directing voters to a different website.
The Committee further advised eligible voters that:
- The official voting portal is https://ecnba.org.ng/vote/ecnba-ovs-main/ and should be used exclusively to cast votes.
- Voting will remain open for exactly 24 hours from the commencement time, after which no votes will be accepted.
- Further updates will be communicated promptly through official ECNBA channels as they become available.
The ECNBA expressed appreciation to all candidates, agents, consultants, observers, and eligible voters for their patience and understanding during the delay, while reaffirming its commitment to conducting a free, fair, and credible electoral process.
Signed
Aham Ejelam, SAN, Chairman.
