The Nigerian Bar Association Remuneration Committee remains steadfast in its mandate to ensure compliance with the Legal Practitioners’ Remuneration Order 2023 and to promote fair, ethical, and professional legal practice across Nigeria.
The Committee reminds all legal practitioners that undercharging is not merely a commercial issue, it affects the integrity, dignity, and sustainability of our noble profession. Every lawyer has a professional obligation to comply with the prescribed Remuneration Order while delivering quality legal services.
Where there is evidence of persistent undercharging or non-compliance, members are encouraged to report such cases to the Committee for appropriate consideration in accordance with the Rules of Professional Conduct and other applicable regulations.
Together, we can strengthen public confidence in the legal profession, preserve professional standards, and ensure that legal services are fairly valued.
