As the curtains gradually fall on a defining two-year journey, the Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum (NBAWF) has rolled out the drums in celebration of the remarkable women whose leadership, sacrifice and service have strengthened the Forum and advanced its vision of empowering female lawyers for success.
In the penultimate edition of its Curtains Up Series, the Forum paid glowing tribute to its Council Members, Executive Committee, Committees, State Leads, Branch Facilitators, Mentors, members and Spotlight Crew for their collective contribution to a tenure distinguished by commitment, resilience and excellence.
Leading the tribute, Sifon Sifon Ubong-Ntuk, Esq., Head of the Welfare Committee, described gratitude as the hallmark of a gracious heart, noting that the approaching end of the tenure presents an important moment to reflect on the people whose dedication shaped the Forum’s journey over the past two years.
The Council Members and Executive Committee were applauded for their visionary and transformative guidance, while the various Committees were celebrated for their dedication and fidelity to the Forum’s mandate.
State Leads and Branch Facilitators received special recognition for taking the NBAWF message across the Association, while Mentors were commended for leading by example and enriching the Forum through their experience and intellectual capacity.
Members were equally celebrated for their engagement and invaluable feedback, with the Spotlight Crew receiving commendation for the creativity, insight and brilliance brought to the Forum’s publications.
Beyond celebrating offices and titles, the tribute honours service, sacrifice and legacy, every responsibility accepted, every assignment excellently discharged and every voice raised in advancing the cause of women within the legal profession.
As the curtains inch closer to their final fall, NBAWF celebrates not merely the conclusion of a tenure, but the enduring footprints of women who chose to serve.
The tenure may be approaching its curtain call, but the legacy of service, excellence and women empowering women lives on.
