Celebrating A Pacesetter: Mrs. Badejo Okusanya SAN, 1st Elected Female President of the NBA – By Sabastine Anyia Esq., NBA 1st Vice President

Today, the Nigerian Bar Association and the entire legal community celebrate a monumental milestone in our history — the leadership of Mrs. Badejo Okusanya SAN, the first woman ever elected to lead the NBA.

Mrs. Bold, as she is fondly called, did not just break the glass ceiling. She shattered it with intellect, courage, grace, and an unyielding commitment to justice. Her election was more than a victory for women; it was a victory for competence, for inclusion, and for the future of the Bar.

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria and a consummate professional, Mrs. Okusanya embodies the very best of our profession: diligence, integrity, advocacy, and service. She has inspired a generation of female lawyers to believe that the highest offices are within reach, and she has shown the Bar that leadership is about vision, not gender.

We celebrate her trailblazing legacy. We celebrate her strength. We celebrate her boldness.

May her tenure continue to be a beacon of progress, unity, and excellence for the NBA.
The Bar is proud. The nation is proud. History will remember.

Congratulations Mrs. Bold.
