The Nigerian Bar Association Gombe Branch is set to convene its 2026 Law Week from 12th to 19th June, bringing the legal community into a critical conversation on reform, accountability, and institutional balance.
At the heart of the event is the theme, “Strengthening Justice through Reforms: Lawyers as Agents of Change,” a call that resonates strongly in today’s evolving justice landscape.
A major highlight will be the participation of Hon. Justice Halima S. Mohammed, Chief Judge of Gombe State, who chairs the Law Week and will feature as a panelist on the pressing topic:
“Judicial Independence and Legislative Oversight: The Role of the Bar in Balancing Institutional Powers.”
Holding at the ICC Auditorium, Gombe, this gathering is more than a routine legal event, it is a strategic forum where the Bar is challenged to rise, speak, and shape the future of justice delivery.
As conversations unfold, one message stands clear: reform is no longer optional, the Bar must lead.
