Distinguished Colleagues,
On behalf of the Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA) 2026, I wish to notify members of the Bar that the Committee has issued Notice No. 10, prescribing electoral expense limits for candidates in the forthcoming 2026 NBA National Elections, regulating campaign entourages, and setting out requirements for financial declarations, monitoring, and enforcement mechanisms in accordance with the provisions of the NBA Constitution 2015 (as amended in 2025).
The Notice further clarifies what constitutes electoral expenses and reminds candidates that compliance with previously issued ECNBA notices, particularly those relating to campaign conduct and prohibited activities, remains mandatory.
Members are encouraged to carefully read the attached Notice for full details of the prescribed spending limits, entourage restrictions, financial reporting obligations, and applicable sanctions for non-compliance.
