The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) National Election Observers Team is currently en route to Osun State ahead of the Osun State Governorship Election scheduled for Saturday, 15 August 2026.
As part of the journey to Osun State, the team was warmly received in Akure by the leadership and members of the NBA Akure Branch, led by the Branch Chairman, Onimisi Umar, alongside members of the Branch Executive Committee.
The National Election Observers Team is led by Festus Okoye, Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Election Working Group, which is coordinating the Association’s observation of the electoral process.
The NBA’s deployment underscores the Association’s commitment to promoting credible elections, respect for the rule of law, and adherence to established electoral processes.
The team will proceed to Osun State, where observers will be deployed to observe the conduct of Saturday’s governorship election.
