The Nigerian Bar Association, Gwagwalada Branch (Eagle Bar), has announced that it will commence the enforcement of the Legal Practitioners’ Remuneration Order 2023 within its jurisdiction with effect from 25th September 2026.
The enforcement initiative underscores the Branch’s commitment to protecting the professional and economic interests of legal practitioners and ensuring due compliance with the framework governing remuneration for legal services.
The Legal Practitioners’ Remuneration Order 2023 represents an important instrument for the preservation of the dignity and economic value of legal practice. Its effective implementation is particularly significant in ensuring appropriate remuneration for professional services in transactions involving land instruments, title documents and other matters covered by the Order.
Speaking on the development, the Chairman of the NBA Gwagwalada Branch, N. D. Abdulsalam, Esq., reaffirmed the Branch’s commitment to promoting professionalism, protecting the legitimate interests of legal practitioners and upholding the standards prescribed for the practice of law.
Legal practitioners are therefore encouraged to acquaint themselves with the provisions of the Order and ensure strict compliance with its requirements.
