On Tuesday, 26th August 2025, at 3:30 PM, the 6th Marquee Hall, Friendship Centre (Chief Bola Ajibola Hall) will come alive as conferees converge for the much-anticipated session on “Expounding Entertainment and Sports Law.”
Coordinated by Temidayo Akeredolu, the session is designed to spotlight the limitless opportunities that lie within the sports and entertainment industries—sectors that are fast becoming global economic powerhouses.
The discourse will equip young and mid-level lawyers with insights to broaden their professional frontiers, leverage intellectual property, and position themselves within the rapidly evolving creative and sports ecosystems.
Spotlight on Speakers
- Beverley Agbakoba-Onyejianya (Lead Speaker): With over 20 years of experience spanning Nigeria and the UK, Beverley is a versatile legal, regulatory, and compliance professional. She is widely respected for her expertise in corporate and commercial law, ADR, entertainment, employment, intellectual property, and governance. Her career embodies a unique blend of global and local insights.
- Christian Aniukwu: Managing Partner at Stren & Blan Partners and globally recognized authority in intellectual property, technology, media, and sports law. He is listed among the World Leaders in IP (2023–2025), serves on INTA’s Anti-Counterfeiting Committee, and chairs the Law Drafting Committee of the Trademarks Tribunal, Abuja. Through his foundation, he continues to drive impactful initiatives in law and society.
- Olumide Mustapha: Co-Founding Partner at Technolawgical Partners, Founder of LumiGC, and Head of Legal at Founders Factory Africa, where he supports over 55 startups with transactions worth more than $150M. His expertise lies in IP commercialization, venture finance, and legal infrastructure for creative industries.
- Olabamiji Adeyeye (Moderator): Lead Partner at LES AVOCATS, Lagos, and an adjunct lecturer, Olabamiji brings a wealth of experience in entertainment law, commercial law, IP, and dispute resolution. He has advised on popular formats such as Lions’ Den, Family Feud, and Next Afrobeats Star. He currently serves as Secretary of the NBA Corporate Counsel Forum.
- Osaruyi Ayela-Uwangue: Senior Associate at Alegeh & Co, where he heads the Family and Property Law Department. His decade-long career covers civil and corporate litigation, family law, intellectual property, and entertainment law. He is an active member of the NBA and International Bar Association.
