Abuja Set for Grand Unveiling of New Book on Bar, Bench and Governance in Honour of Afam Osigwe, SAN

Legal scholars, senior members of the Bar and stakeholders in governance are set to gather in Abuja for the public presentation of a new book titled “The Bar, Bench and Good Governance in Africa: Legal Essays in Honour of Afam Osigwe, SAN.”

The book, a collection of legal essays edited by leading scholars, is written in honour of a distinguished Senior advocate of Nigeria, Afam Osigwe, SAN, in recognition of his contributions to legal practice, jurisprudence and good governance on the Africa.

The public presentation is scheduled to hold on Monday, 2 February 2026, by 11:00 a.m., at Zuma Hall, Rockview Royale Hotel, Wuse II, Abuja.

The publication interrogates the role of the Bar and the Bench in promoting constitutionalism, the rule of law and accountable governance in Africa, offering scholarly insights on contemporary legal and governance challenges across the continent.
