The Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum (NBAWF), Edo State Chapter, has commenced the collation of data for the production of a comprehensive directory of female lawyers across the state.
The initiative covers female legal practitioners in Auchi, Benin, Ekpoma, Uromi, Igarra, and other areas within Edo State. Female lawyers of Edo origin residing in the diaspora or outside the state are also encouraged to participate.
As part of the exercise, all eligible participants are required to submit their details through designated committee members based on the alphabetical order of their surnames.
Required Information for Submission:
- Clear headshot or passport photograph
- Full name (Surname in capital letters; no prefixes such as “Barr.”, “Mrs.” or “Miss”)
- Approved titles (SAN, Prof., Ph.D, Dr., Notary Public, and other certifications)
- Branch
- Year of Call
- Place of Work/Chambers
- Date of Birth (e.g., 27th June)
- Email address
- Phone number
Participants are to forward their details directly to the assigned committee members via their respective contact lines.
Submission Deadline: May 15, 2026 (No extension will be granted).
The Forum emphasized that the project is aimed at strengthening visibility, networking, and documentation of female lawyers in Edo State, describing it as a historic and impactful initiative.
