It was with great sadness that the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) received the news today of the passage of its former President and Governor of Ondo State, Arakurin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, CON, SAN, fondly known as Aketi.
Governor Akeredolu served as the 24th President of the Nigerian Bar Association, between 2008 and 2010 and his administration as NBA President was renowned for its active commitment to the rule of law, effective administration of justice and protection of human rights.
The passage of Governor Akeredolu is a loss not just to the legal profession but a loss to Nigeria, as a nation.
