“I joined the Yola branch of the Nigerian Bar Association for the opening ceremony of their 2026 Law Week today. It was an opportunity to meet and connect with colleagues who came from different jurisdictions.
I led the discussion on the sub theme of the conference “From draft to Pay: Using the Legal Practitioners Remuneration Order 2023 to standardize fees for legal drafting and documentation”.
I made the point that the Remuneration Order is our tool to move the Legal Profession from hustle to honour and that with the commitment of all members of the profession to the implementation of the Order, we shall restore the dignity of the profession.”
