The Nigerian Bar Association recorded another milestone with the formal establishment of the NBA Iseyin Branch, an important development that underscores the growing reach of the Association and the deepening of its presence at the grassroots. The President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, joined members of the Branch for the historic ceremony, describing the occasion as a bold step toward strengthening the Bar and expanding access to professional engagement within emerging legal communities.
In his remarks, the NBA President congratulated the leadership and members of the Branch and urged them to remain committed to the aims and objectives of the Association. He emphasized that every Branch must stand for something meaningful and contribute actively to the advancement of the legal profession, the administration of justice, and service to society. He also noted that the presence of traditional rulers at the event reflected strong community support and signaled a promising future for the newly established Branch.
The President expressed excitement at the pace of development already recorded by the Branch. He stated that he was deeply honoured by the proposal to name the NBA Iseyin Branch Bar House after him, describing the gesture as thoughtful and humbling. He thanked the leadership and members of the Branch for the recognition and extended special appreciation to Ahmed Raji, SAN, for his support, commitment, and contributions toward the success of the event and the vision for the Branch.
As part of the ceremony, the NBA President performed the foundation block laying ceremony for the proposed NBA Iseyin Branch Bar House and also commissioned the brand new NBA Iseyin Branch bus, both of which he described as clear demonstrations of vision, unity, and commitment by members of the Branch.
He expressed confidence that the Branch would continue to grow and contribute meaningfully to the objectives of the Nigerian Bar Association and the development of the legal profession.
