The Nigerian Bar Association, Gombe Branch, is set to convene a thought-provoking session as part of its 2026 Law Week, focusing on a critical national issue,gender-based violence (GBV) and its far-reaching implications.
Scheduled for June 17, 2026, at the ICC Auditorium, Gombe, the session will address the theme:
“The Cost of Silence: How GBV Impacts National Productivity and Development.”
This timely discourse aligns with the broader Law Week theme, “Strengthening Justice through Reforms: Lawyers as Agents of Change,” emphasizing the legal profession’s role in addressing systemic societal challenges.
The session will feature Roseline Tasha, Esq. of the Federal Ministry of Justice as the lead speaker. She will be joined by distinguished discussants, Rukayya A. Jalo, Esq., Clerk of the Gombe State House of Assembly, and Sa’adatu Bome Ishaya, Esq., Permanent Secretary, Deputy Governor’s Office.
Commencing at 3:00 PM, the event is expected to draw legal practitioners, policymakers, and stakeholders committed to advancing justice and national development.
