The Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum (NBAWF) has expressed deep shock and profound sadness over the reported disappearance of its member, Miss Eunice Ameh, who reportedly went missing in Abuja after work on May 6, 2026.
According to reports, Eunice was last seen at about 5:40pm around Lake Chad Crescent, Maitama, Abuja, while heading towards Life Camp. Since then, her whereabouts remain unknown, leaving members of the Forum, colleagues, friends, and loved ones deeply worried and heartbroken.
In a statement, the Forum described the incident as a painful reminder of the growing insecurity in the Federal Capital Territory, lamenting that Abuja, which should be a safe haven for residents and professionals, is increasingly becoming a source of fear and anxiety.
The Forum called on all relevant security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and other authorities, to immediately intensify efforts towards ensuring that Eunice Ameh is found and returned home safely.
NBAWF also appealed to members of the public to remain vigilant and provide any useful information that may assist ongoing search efforts, stressing that time is of the essence.

The statement further conveyed solidarity with Eunice’s family, friends, and colleagues, assuring them of the prayers and support of the entire Forum while expressing hope for her safe return.
The Forum maintained that a society where women cannot safely return home after a day’s work must urgently confront its security realities, declaring that “enough is enough.”
