The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has announced the appointment of Abdul Mohammed, SAN as the Chairman of the NBA Annual General Conference Planning Committee (AGCPC) 2026, scheduled to hold in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, from August 22–29, 2026.

In the newly constituted leadership, Sammie Somiari, SAN has been named Co-Chairman, while Barbara Omosun will serve as Secretary of the committee. Significantly, the immediate past AGCPC Chairman, Chief Emeka Obegolu, SAN, who successfully steered the just-concluded 2025 NBA Annual General Conference in Enugu to resounding acclaim, has been appointed as Consultant to the 2026 Committee.

The NBA described the Enugu Conference, marked by record-breaking attendance, robust panel sessions, and innovative collaborations as a benchmark for future gatherings, expressing confidence that the 2026 Committee under Abdul Mohammed, SAN, will sustain and surpass the standard set.

The full list of committee members for the 2026 AGCPC will be unveiled in due course.
