The Chair of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL), Ozofu ‘Latunde Ogiemudia, led a high-level delegation on a courtesy visit to the Honourable Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, ahead of the 2026 Northern Zonal Conference.
The delegation included the NBA-SBL Northern Zonal Chair, Ahmed Wada; Council Member, Dr. Fati Kere; Chairperson of the 2026 Northern Zonal Conference Planning Committee,Fatimah Dattijo Muhammad; alongside other members of the Conference Planning Committee (CPC).
The visit was aimed at formally notifying the Attorney General of the forthcoming NBA-SBL Northern Zonal Conference scheduled for April 23–24, 2026. Themed “Law as a Catalyst for Economic Growth,” the conference is positioned to convene key stakeholders across the legal, business, and policy spheres to interrogate the role of law in driving Nigeria’s economic development.
The delegation was warmly received, with the Attorney General expressing strong support for the initiative and committing to the success of this conference, and the larger NBA SBL conference coming up in June 2026
The engagement underscores NBA-SBL’s strategic efforts to align institutional stakeholders and reinforce the relevance of legal frameworks in advancing economic growth.
