Chief Judge of Gombe State High Court of Justice

Early Foundations & Academic Prowess

Born on May 3, 1963, in the scenic town of Tula, Kaltungo LGA, Justice Halima S. Mohammed’s journey is one of consistency and dedication.

  • Early Education: LEA Primary School, Billiri (1969–1975).

  • Secondary Education: Queen Elizabeth School, Ilorin (1975–1980).

  • Legal Training: Obtained her LL.B from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1985).

  • The Bar: Called to the Nigerian Bar in 1986.

  • Post-Graduate: Earned her LL.M from the University of Jos (2001) and holds a certificate in Computer Studies.

Justice Mohammed didn’t just reach the top; she earned every step.

  • 1987: Began as State Counsel II, Ministry of Justice, Bauchi State.

  • 2000: Rose to become the Deputy Chief Registrar (Process and Litigation).

  • 2001: Appointed as a High Court Judge in the Gombe State Judiciary.

  • Present: Serving as the Chief Judge of Gombe State, where her leadership has redefined the efficiency and integrity of the bench.

National Service & Judicial Impact

Beyond the state, her expertise has been vital to Nigeria’s democratic stability. She has served as both Chairman and member of numerous Governorship and Legislative Election Petition Tribunals across the federation.
