The Nigerian Bar Association Human Rights Institute (NBA-HRI) is set to host a landmark commemoration of the 2025 International Human Rights Day, bringing together some of the nation’s most influential voices in law, governance, advocacy, and public policy.
Scheduled for 10th December 2025 at the NBA Auditorium, Muhammadu Buhari Way, CBD, Abuja, this year’s event is themed “Human Rights: Our Everyday Essential” with a compelling sub-theme, “Security, a Necessity for the Growth of Our Nation, Nigeria.”
The programme will be held under the distinguished chairmanship of Hon. Justice Muhammad Dattijo, JSC (Rtd)—a respected jurist known for his principled stance on judicial accountability and national development.

Delivering the keynote address is foremost human rights advocate, Femi Falana, SAN, whose decades-long commitment to justice and civil liberties promises an intellectually charged and inspiring session.
A rich line-up of panelists will lead discussions on the evolving challenges and responsibilities tied to human rights in Nigeria. They include:
