The Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA) has published the Branch-by-Branch List of Voters for the 2026 NBA National Elections, reaffirming its commitment to conducting a transparent, credible, and inclusive electoral process.
In a notice dated 6 July 2026, the Committee stated that the publication is in line with the Revised Timetable issued on 3 July 2026 and is intended to give all stakeholders the opportunity to scrutinize the register and submit genuine observations before the release of the Final Voters List.
The ECNBA urged all legal practitioners to carefully review the published list and forward any genuine observations or comments to the Committee through its official email address: info@ecnba.org.ng
The Committee also highlighted the following:
- The email addresses, telephone numbers, and Supreme Court Enrolment Numbers (SCNs) of voters have been deliberately omitted from the published register to safeguard the privacy of members and prevent data harvesting or any other misuse of personal information.
A total of 671 legal practitioners appear after the Zaria Branch listing under the heading “Legal Practitioners Who Paid Practising Fees Before the Deadline But Without Any Indication of Belonging to Any Branch.”
The Committee reminded affected persons of the constitutional requirement that every eligible voter must belong to an NBA Branch.
The current publication is not the Final Voters List. The Final Register, to be released in due course, will contain all necessary electronic voting details and provide eligible voters with an opportunity to verify the accuracy of their email addresses, telephone numbers, and Supreme Court Enrolment Numbers before the voters’ register is finally frozen.
The ECNBA strongly encouraged all concerned members to devote time to a thorough review of the register and submit any observations within the stipulated period.
