The NBA Women Forum Kano State presents their Mentorship Seminar themed “Empowering Excellence: Developing Skills and Professionalism for the Next Generation of Women in Law,” which will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
This seminar aims to empower the upcoming generation of women lawyers by nurturing their skills and professionalism. It recognises the pivotal role mentorship plays in guiding them towards success in a traditionally male-dominated field.

This initiative aims to equip women lawyers with the tools they need to thrive and lead in the legal profession despite systemic and cultural barriers by providing support, guidance, and opportunities for growth. Through a commitment to excellence and empowerment, this theme seeks to inspire and elevate future generations of women lawyers.
We are pleased to announce that the Forum’s Chairperson, Mrs. Chinyere Okorocha, and the Treasurer, Mrs. Mercy Ijato-Agada, will be physically present in Kano for this seminar. Our keynote speaker is Mrs. Fatima Kwaku, MFR, a very senior lawyer and one of the pioneering governing council members of the NBA Women Forum.
Female lawyers in Kano State and neighbouring states are encouraged to attend this event. It promises to be enlightening and instrumental in taking your legal career to the next level.
