Distinguished Colleagues,
As you may recall, the present NBA administration, led by Mr. Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, OON, SAN, in 2023, ensured the passage of the Legal Practitioners Remuneration (for Business, Legal Service, and Representation) Order2023, whose objective amongstothers, is to improve the standard of compensation for legal services.
In order to enforce the provisions of this Remuneration Order for the benefit of all members, the NBA President, has set up Remuneration Committees in all the branches of the Nigerian Bar Association.
A series of workshops will soon be held to sensitize members of these committees and all other members of the NBA on the duties and operations of these committees.
Please find attached for your reference the Notice by the NBA President containing the list of members of the Remuneration Committees.
