The 2024 Annual General Conference (AGC) of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) kicked off with a spirited Health Walk led by outgoing NBA President Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, SAN, and President-Elect Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN.
The walk, which began at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), was a fitness display and an educational journey through the historic landmarks of Lagos Island. The walk concluded at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, where participants were greeted by the cheers of a football match at the end of the morning. The event ended on a high note, with participants enjoying refreshments and lively music, embodying the spirit of unity and well-being that the NBA AGC represents.
This health walk exemplifies the vibrant and community-focused approach of the Maikyau-led administration, reflecting its commitment to fostering physical well-being and a deeper connection to Nigeria’s rich legal and cultural history.
