Dear Esteemed Members,
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Electoral Committee is committed to ensuring a smooth and transparent election process. As we approach the forthcoming elections, we recognise the importance of voter awareness and education to ensure the full participation of all eligible members in the voting process.
We hereby announce a series of voter sensitization sessions to be conducted across the zones as provided for in our NBA Constitution. These sessions are designed to educate members in the following key areas:
- Election Procedures: Detailed explanations of the steps and procedures of the election process.
- Use of Technology: Guidance on using the electronic voting system to cast votes securely and effectively.
- Addressing Concerns: An open forum for members to ask questions and raise concerns regarding the election process.

Branches within the states in each group in every zone are invited to attend at the host branch as listed. Scheduled Sensitization Sessions are as follows:
EASTERN ZONE
- Enugu (Ebonyi, Anambra, and Enugu): 3rd July 2024
- Calabar (Cross River and Akwa Ibom)): 6th July 2024
- Port Harcourt (Rivers, Bayelsa, Imo, and Abia): 4th July 2024
NORTHERN ZONE
- FCT Abuja (Benue, Nassarawa, Kogi, Kwara, and Plateau): 8th July 2024
- Yola (Gombe, Bauchi, Yobe, Taraba, and Borno): 6th July 2024
- Kano (Kaduna, Zamfara, Katsina, Sokoto, and Kebbi): 2nd July 2024
WESTERN ZONE
- Ibadan (Osun, Ekiti, and Oyo): July 13, 2024
- Benin (Delta, Ondo, and Edo): 6th July 2024
- Lagos State (Ogun and Lagos): 3rd July 2024
The meetings/sessions are scheduled to be hosted in a hybrid format by the stated branches of the listed cities. Members in all the branches within the states grouped under the host branch are encouraged to attend the sessions scheduled for their respective zones.
Where virtual meetings may be preferred by any hosts or zones, the host branch shall communicate this to ECNBA.
